The most populous place in Fairfax County, Reston has a diverse population as well as interesting neighborhoods with a range of housing options from urban apartments to single family homes. National Landing
In the heart of the capital region, National Landing is Virginia’s largest walkable downtown and just minutes from downtown D.C. via bus, car, and train. Situated across Arlington County and Alexandria, it’s a prime example of Northern Virginia’s transit-oriented development and successful smart growth policies. Several prominent associations–including the American Physical Therapy Association and National Industries for the Blind–are constructing their own built-to-suit headquarters. Earlier this year, Virginia Tech broke ground on a $1B Innovation Campus. Already home to 26,000 residents, 5,500 hotel rooms, and 450 restaurants and shops, National Landing is one of the region’s fastest-growing submarkets.
Old Town Alexandria
Just south of National Landing along the Potomac River waterfront, Alexandria’s Old Town neighborhood is a vibrant historic main street that serves as a destination for boutique retail and independently owned restaurants. Office spaces characteristic of this neighborhood range from smaller three-to-four story standalone buildings to larger, amenity rich, multi-tenanted buildings with panoramic views of Washington, D.C., and the Potomac River.
