Case Study - National Industries for the Blind

In 2019, National Industries for the Blind (NIB), a nonprofit employment resource agency for people who are blind, moved into their new national headquarters in Alexandria, creating 53 new jobs. They are now strategically situated in the developing National Landing area, where Amazon’s new HQ2 and Virginia Tech’s Innovation Campus are located. Employees and visitors will be able to easily access planned dining, hotel and shopping options. And as a nonprofit organization, proximity to the Potomac Yard Metro Station will provide much needed connectivity to nearby Washington, D.C.
